Mobic No Prescription

What is Mobic used for?

Doctors usually prescribe Mobic for the treatment of the inflammation and pain which is caused by arthritis.  Mobic is an NSAID (non steroidal anti inflammatory drug) and works by decreasing the amount of pain and inflammation causing hormones that are in the body.

What are Mobic side effects?

Patients taking Mobic can sometimes experience side effects including mood swings, itchy skin, blurred vision, headaches, abdominal pain, dry mouth, tinnitus, diarrhea, bloating, heartburn or constipation.  Contact your doctor if any of the more serious side effects occur such as nausea; chest pain, fever; bloody stools; abdominal pain; loss of appetite; jaundice; slurred speech; vision problems or breathlessness. You may develop an allergic reaction to Mobic and signs of this could include hives; skin rash; trouble breathing or swollen throat, mouth, tongue, lips or face.  You should get medical help immediately if you notice any of these signs after taking Mobic.

What to know before taking Mobic?

There is an increased risk of developing life threatening conditions such as strokes or heart attacks in people taking NSAIDS such as Mobic.  This risk increases for long term users.  There is also a risk of problems with the stomach or intestines if you are taking NSAIDS.  Sometimes these conditions can be life threatening especially if you develop sudden gastrointestinal problems as they can occur without any warning.  Mobic should not be taken if you are allergic to any other NSAIDS or to Aspirin or Meloxicam.  If you have any conditions such as stomach ulcers, asthma, bowel problems, liver disease, heart disease, hypertension, diverticulosis, history of strokes, or kidney disease, you should tell your doctor as you might need to have special tests to determine a safe dosage of Mobic.  Mobic should not be taken by pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding as it could be harmful to an unborn or nursing baby.

What is the Mobic dosage?

Your dose of Mobic will be prescribed for you by your doctor according to your specific needs.  Do not take larger doses than what has been prescribed for you.  Do not take the medication for longer than the course which your doctor has prescribed. The usual dosage of Mobic for treating osteoarthritis in adults is 7.5mg once per day.  This may be increased by your doctor if required.

What are the Mobic interactions?

Mobic has been known to interact with certain medications including Lithium, Escitalopram, Venlafaxine, Warfarin, Furosemide, Citalopram, Prednisone, Cyclosporine, Duloxetine, Sarafem, Moexipril, Enalapril and Naproxen.  It is important to tell your doctor about any other medications you are taking even, pain killers, vitamins or supplements or herbal medications as these could also interact with Mobic.

What should I avoid while taking Mobic?

It is advisable to avoid alcohol when taking Mobic in order to reduce the risk of some side effects especially bleeding in the stomach.  You should check with your doctor before taking any over the counter pain medicines as they could contain similar ingredients to Mobic which could cause you to take too much of one type of drug.
