Ultracet No Prescription
What is Ultracet used for?
Ultracet is prescribed for the treatment of moderate and severe pain. It is a narcotic pain reliever and works by blocking pain sensations from the nerves to the brain.
What are Ultracet side effects?
Side effects of Ultracet can include nausea, flushing, drowsiness, constipation, insomnia, vomiting, weakness, blurred vision, loss of appetite and dizziness. More serious side effects can include weak pulse, blistering skin rash, seizures, and shallow breathing. You should contact your doctor if you experience any of these serious side effects. If you experience any of the signs of an allergic reaction, you should get emergency help immediately. These signs can include swelling of the face, mouth or tongue; trouble breathing; rash or hives.
What to know before taking Ultracet?
If you have ever had an allergic reaction to Tramadol or acetaminophen, you should not take Ultracet. You should only take a maximum of two tablets at a time and no more than eight per day as an overdose of Ultracet could be fatal. You may not be able to take Ultracet if you drink more than three alcoholic drinks per day. If you have conditions such as asthma, kidney disease, history of mental health problems, liver disease or stomach disorders, you might need to be tested to make sure you get a safe dose of Ultracet. Breast feeding women should not take Ultracet as it can pass into breast milk.
What is the Ultracet dosage?
You should take Ultracet as directed by your doctor. Only take the amount of Ultracet that has been prescribed by your doctor and do not take it for longer than the recommended course. Dosage will vary from person to person. The normal dosage for treating pain in adults and children over the age of 16 is two tablets four to six times per day for as long as five days. Dosage for children under 16 should be determined by a doctor. Ultracet can be taken with or without food.
What are the Ultracet interactions?
Ultracet may interact with certain drugs such as Ketoconazole, Quinidine, Nortriptyline, Erythromycin, Warfarin, Digoxin, Fluoxetine, Warfarin, Carbamazepine and Imipramine. There may also be other drugs which could interact with Ultracet so it is advisable to inform your doctor of any other medication you might be taking including vitamins, over the counter pain killers and herbal products.
What should I avoid while taking Ultracet?
Taking Ultracet with alcohol could increase side effects so it is advisable to avoid alcohol. You should avoid any medications which cause drowsiness as they can add to the drowsiness caused by Ultracet. Ultracet can cause impaired reactions so extra care should be taken when partaking in any activities which require full alertness such as driving or operating heavy machinery.
